Message from the president

The sports activity in Viana do Castelo is known and recognized within and out of doors by their dynamics. We are a county of sport and sportsmen, lovers of the sport of the most varied modalities and, consequently, we have come to know and recognise the quality of many athletes. But it is time to go one step further and publicly recognize the achievements of our athletes. To organize the first Gala, we do so with the aim of recognize and also encourage our athletes of all ages to engage, and the sport as an attitude in life. Even so, and having a knowledge of the reality of the region, it is extraordinary to see the amount and the quality of our athletes, here eternized for future memory. There are a number of modalities, there are many categories and many are our champions that, in this first edition, we will honor. We enclose, with this event that we hope will be a memorable one, the pride that we have for our athletes to the gratitude we feel for be, also, ambassadors of Viana do Castelo in many competitions where to participate, and reiterate, become champions.
